Living Beautifully!

Feeling inspired to have a beautiful weekend after looking at these images from Ashley Whittaker Designs! Hope they inspire you too!

Love the Chinese drum stools with that amazing wallpaper in the background!

The perfect place to relax!

Love all the colours together here...the fabric on the ottomans is a favourite!

Loving the potted Hydrangeas!

I would so love this wallpaper in my entry!
Happy weekend all!

I am loving...

...the work of architect William Hefner! I clicked through to his site via 'Things that Inspire' and loved so many of the images. These are just a few of my favourites!

I have a thing for beautifully manicured lawns and the tree out the front adds perfection to this already gorgeous home!

The view out the back is pretty fabulous as well!

I had seen this image before and fell in love with the zinc benchtops - stunning! Tracey xx

Taking it easy...

This is what weekends are made of for us here in Queensland right now...the perfect way to escape the humidity and the heat! Hope you have a good one wherever you are!

Makes me so happy!

These images via Celerie Kemble's website are like a breath of fresh air to me! I always find her work so inspiring...maybe the fact that she seems to use alot of green in her rooms!

So many layers to add interest to this room!

Pairing of apple green with navy is always effective!

This buttoned velvet lounge is an amazing centrepiece for all the gorgeous accessories around it!

What a perfect summery setting - who wouldn't want a back yard like this?

What more can I say - she is brilliant!

Just been looking on the Cool Hunter website which I love to look through now and then for some out there ideas and was really drawn to this Amsterdam architect Uxus Design who was the designer behind this amazing winery Merus Winery in the Napa Valley in California.
I love the use of odd chairs giving it a quirky feel. Very simple and stunning!

This tasting room is amazing with the wired pendant lights grouped into three and the Tolix chairs assembled neatly in the centre of the room
It's like being in a cave.
I really loved these glass pendant lights above the long timber table and a few odd Chippendale chairs

New house inspiration

As Tracey has already told you, I am building my first new home this year. I have renovated many homes but this will be my first new build. I am very excited and nervous at the same time. Having just come back from Paris and London with some new inspiration on colours and finishes, etc. I thought I wold share some ideas for things I would like to incorporate into my new haven.

Beautiful bathtub and Versaille style floors

The last 6 images are via Four Walls and a roof

Can't sleep........

Wondering what to do in the wee small hours of the morning so I thought i would share some more pics from our gorgeous little trip to Paris. I have been very selective not to include any of myself in my thick layers of black clothing or the other 2 girls as they made me vow not to do so. I can only say that 3 woman together in Paris, What a ball!!
Our lovely little apartment was right across the road from the Eiffel Tour
Flowers everywhere, add colour to the grey skies above. This was a sweet little flower shop in St Gemain
Had to take a photo of the metro sign outside of Invalides
We stopped off at cafe Marley for a warm cup of ceylon tea at the Louve
Looking out from our apartment
Laduree treats at Chateau Versaille
Walking across the bridge on our way back home from dinner at Ladureee on the Champs Elysee. Love watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle on the hour for 5 minutes
Inside our 2 bedroom apartment. Not too messy!

Another Crazy Week!

We haven't stopped since we returned from our trip so I must appologise for our lack of posts once again! We went to Sydney for the day on Wednesday for Design & Decoration and went and listened to Kathryn Ireland's seminar which was fantastic. She is such an inspiring speaker and we went afterwards to meet her and get a signed copy of her latest book...I just love it! I have already found a spot for it in my cabinet!
After we finished up at the trade fair, we headed over to look at some of our favourite stores in Woollahra, including the Donna Hay General Store, where I picked up a couple of gorgeous green milk glass cake stands...I couldn't resist them! As you can see, I have a matching mixing bowl which my mum gave me a couple of years ago! Hopefully we will have more time for posts in the next week! Happy weekend! Tracey xx
