We are signing off now for our Christmas break. But first, We would like to say some thankyou's and leave you with some images of my Christmas trees and a few decorations we love.
Tracey and I would like to thank everyone for all their kind words and for helping us get our blog off the ground. A special big thanks to Anna from Absolutely Beautiful Things and A-M for initially recognising us. You have been a true inspiation and we always love to see what's going on over on their blog along with many more of you both here in Australia and Overseas. This has been the best thing and we are excited about the jouney continuing next year. God Bless you all and have a wonderful holiday break.

Feeling Glamourous!
Is this the most glamourous photo ever? This looks like the perfect place to me and Grace Kelly is wearing the perfect dress! Every year I think I will go out and buy a dress for Christmas day but never find it - this would be perfect (not that it would look like this on me but I can dream). I found this photo via a blog while blog hopping call A Journey to our Daughter - about adopting a baby girl from China - lovely read!
Long weekend before Christmas
We just came back from a wonderful long weekend at one of my favorite beachside destinations - Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast. It was perfect although a little hot on Saturday. We took my husbands staff away for a night and out for dinner for the second year running. It's a great way to unwind and time to take life a little less seriously. My family arrived yesterday to celebrate our parents 40th wedding anniversary. There were 19 of us with all the kids! Quite big!
Hope you week is great, Hayley x

This is a a great image of what Christmas looks like here in Australia!
As much as i am looking forward to a white Christmas in New York one year, I must say, we really are blessed to enjoy a long summer and great food this time of the year also!

A Weekend in the Garden...
via Domino Magazine
I wish my garden looked just like this one so that I could enjoy it this weekend but I figure if I never put the effort in it will always look tragic so this could be the weekend where I attempt some gardening! Anyone who knows me is laughing right now! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend! Tracey x
Christmas love
Favourite Decorations!!!
Just thought I would share a few of my favourite Christmas decorations this year!
I bought quite a few old 'Shiny Brights' from Ebay which I just love. They look great on a tree but I like to display them in bowls around the house as well - they add a bit of colour!
Little Black Awning!!!
I have a large collection of black awnings in my inspiration files because I think they can make an ordinary building look really beautiful. I have just put together a few of my favourites - what do you think?
Best Wishes for Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to all! I have to say that this is one tradition that I think we should embrace in Australia but for now I will live vicariously through all the beautiful images from US magazines and blogs! I may make something with pumpkin in it for dinner tonight and be extra thankful in my prayers to celebrate thanksgiving in a small way! Tracey x
Monochromatic Glamour!
I just love Ruthie Sommers style! Both these pictures show a fairly neutral palate of black and cream colouring with touches of silver which just look sensational together. Classically understated glamour! I would love to have enough light to be able to paint a room black like in the first pic but I don't know if I would have the courage! Tracey x
Adding Interest...
When I stumbled across this room on the Traditional Home website, it really stood out as a calm, beautiful use of space. The gray/blue colouring in the wallpaper with the mirror piece against it was just so glamourous yet simple at the same time. Hope you all had a good weekend. I have to say Sydney was freezing and rainy so there wasn't much to do but shop - poor me! Tracey x
Best wishes for the weekend!
Tinsel and Feather Trees!
Here are some pictures of my gorgeous sister-in-law's pink feather tree! How adorable is this tree? I love that I get to enjoy it at her house during the festive season - my favourite decorations are the acorns and pinecones! Love it!
These are some pictures from a couple of years back (in my old house) of my tinsel tree. I just love this tree as it shows off the decorations so well. I always decorate it with lots of colourful decorations and of course my birds!
Another Porchlight Project
The following photos are of a lovely home we have just completed styling for the market here in beautiful Brisbane.
Our signature velvet bedhead is set as a lovely background for the ever stunning Rubie Green cushion! The mirrored bedsides add a touch of glamour!
This is the formal living area which is really beautiful with the white plantation shutters and the built in bookcase.
A nice little feature for the kitchen!
